We hired Katham Industries, Inc. to replace our 25 years plus Carrier Central Air Conditioning system (condenser/fan and coil unit). Before we hired them, we got quotes from several HVAC contractors. Katham’s prices were competitive and reasonable, and they exercised esteemed professionalism from the start and had a simply no-pressure approach. George, the company owner, came to our home, assessed our situation, and explained our options. He did not once give us the typical sales pitch and pressures that we had heard previously from other contractors. We greatly appreciated his approach. He also gave us sage advice on expanding our current system to include an unserved space in our home.
After we decided to go with Katham, we had a few follow-up questions about the Quietwave and Air purification, those questions were promptly answered, and to our pleasant surprise, George was able to fit us in his schedule right away (versus a 3-4 week wait as offered by the other contractors). On the date of replacement/installation, PJ, Daniel, Miguel, and James arrived at our home on time (8:30 am) and knew what to do. They, like George before was very respectful to our home regarding taking COVID precautions.
We are glad that the professionalism at the top filtered down to the first class and friendly installers. I worked from home the day the installation was done, and I was not disturbed once. They had a team working inside on the coil in the attic and another team working on the condenser fan on the outside. They were finished by the time the temperature hit 93 degrees. They cleaned up, left no mess, showed us how to change the filter, and also programmed our thermostat. In the end, we were grateful for their service and hard work and will be sure to recommend them to friends needing a new system. Thank you, George, PJ, Daniel, Miguel, and James.

I was referred to Katham Industries by my neighbor when my pilot light was out and I had no heat on March 7th. I received a call back on a Sunday from the owner George and informed him of my issue. He then sent a Technician to my residence on Monday and they were on time. They informed me that I needed a new boiler. We highly recommend Katham Industries for your HVAC needs. The HVAC installers are skilled professionals and the installation was thought out. They maneuvered around the available attic, ceiling, wall, and floor spaces to provide the appropriate air register quantities needed for the home. This is not necessarily easy as we had an open concept layout. The ceiling registers were proportionally placed and in a good visual line with the ceiling lights. All workers were exceptionally good hearted professionals saying ma’am and sir. At the end of the job they took away all of the waste packaging materials. We were really pleased and used them to replace our rental property HVAC unit as well. Thanks for jobs well done!

The choice is simple – You should use them. I purchased a house that was maintained by Katham. It was an older home, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at the mechanical room. The boilers were 10 years old and looked like they were new. The inspector told me that he knew of Katham and that they were awesome. Naturally I kept them and I’ve been thrilled. Scheduling – You call and you get a quick appointment. Customer Service – You have questions, they get answered quickly (same day). Ownership – Really cares, and that gets passed through the organization. Value – This is the real metric. If you only look at price, these guys may not be the cheap answer (they’re certainly not the most expensive either). Having said that, these are expensive systems that can break. So you need to look at the cost of saving a dime upfront. You have a choice you can be proactive and make these systems last for a long time, or you can go with the cheap guys and get hit with surprise and premature replacement bills. Again the choice is simple – you should use them.

We had previously used a few other local companies for some issues both major and minor, but were never thrilled with the service (can you say huge leak!) so when our basement system kicked the bucket, we figured we would give Katham a try. They sent someone right away (in a snowstorm) to diagnose and came back in the morning to replace the piece. Fast forward a few months and we called them for another issue in our upstairs unit. Again they came right away to diagnose and fix the issue. We’ve also had them install a new exhaust after a kitchen renovation. The owner goes above and beyond for his company and the Katham technicians are extremely clean, polite and very knowledgeable. I can’t speak highly enough of Katham Industries. I called them after our heat suddenly stopped working (outside temp around 12 degees at the time) on a Saturday afternoon. I spoke with the owner, George, who walked me through checking the furnace and exhaust vent for any blockages over the phone, and when that didn’t work he personally came out to our house. George diagnosed the problem as a bad igniter and swapped it out with a replacement he had with him. Within 1 hour of my initial call Katham had the heat working again, 5/5 great service!

I can’t say enough good things about Katham Industries. I called them for the first time because I was having a problem with my air conditioning system. I had been using another company for years and had never really been satisfied with the service. I spoke with Athina, the office manager, who was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable, and set up an appointment with her for the next day. The technicians, who arrived on time to the minute (wow!), were well-groomed, personable and able to diagnose the problem immediately. They had the necessary part on the truck and my air conditioning system was up and running in two hours. The next day, Athina called to make sure that everything had gone well and that I was still “cool.” I was, and have been every since. Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, George, who came out to the house to give me an estimate on a generator. What a decent guy – and I had the estimate that afternoon – amazing.
